Divya, Welcome to UpKeep!
Welcoming Divya Ponniah to the UpKeep family as our Data Analyst Intern!
We’re so excited to welcome Divya to the team this week! Divya is joining us as our first Data Analyst Intern, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her starting!
We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family today, Divya! Tell us a little about yourself!
Hello! My name is Divya, and I joined UpKeep as a Data Analyst Intern. I’m originally from the Orange County area – specifically Irvine – and am currently a second year undergraduate at UCLA majoring in Computer Science (Go Bruins)! In terms of what I like to do for fun, I’ve picked up a lot of different hobbies during quarantine including ceramics, ping pong, and playing Overcooked on my Nintendo Switch.
Why are you excited to join UpKeep?
I was initially looking for an opportunity this summer to explore the startup space and hopefully gain more technical experience. However, after getting the opportunity to hear a little bit more about UpKeep, I felt that what they were doing as a company was very impactful, and I wanted to be a part of it!
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
It’s been really great meeting the teams and hearing a little bit about the different projects going on at UpKeep. Despite working remotely, people have been very genuine and have offered me a lot of support, so I’m super excited to be working in such a collaborative environment!
We have to know – can you give us one fun fact about you?
I’m a huge fan of Yelp, and I think I have around 50 different places on my bookmarked list right now that I’d love to try. Because of COVID-19 though, I started cooking a lot more to try and recreate some of my favorite dishes instead!
And finally, also most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?
I think I’d be a measuring cup. As someone who is still pretty new to cooking, I think that they’re both very dependable and precise!
