LOS ANGELES, CAAugust 6—UpKeep Technologies is so excited to announce that Ismail Elshareef is joining our team in Los Angeles today. Ismail is joining UpKeep as our first Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering – a huge step in the growth of our product. Ismail is coming from a similar role at Ticketmaster, where he worked as the SVP of Fan Experience and Open Platform. Ismail brings not only executive experience, but experience in building out both engineering teams and API platforms.

“I’m excited to join UpKeep because of the purpose and culture that Ryan and team have created,” Ismail explains. “We’re focused on making the lives of over 10 million underserved American workers better. That’s a transcendent purpose that I’d like to be a part of. It’s exciting, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in UpKeep’s evolution and growth.”

UpKeep was founded in 2014 by our CEO, Ryan Chan. The CMMS he used while working as a process-development engineer in a manufacturing plant was clunky and inefficient, so he learned how to code and created the first version of UpKeep. UpKeep is an innovative CMMS solution that streamlines workflows and provides the data and insights needed for maintenance teams to become heroes. Today, UpKeep is a team of 100+ people from around the world who are dedicated to empowering maintenance teams to revolutionize their businesses by making a maintenance software that is easier to use and adopt than ever before.

“With Ismail on the team, there are no limits to what our product can do. Ismail will continue to build on the amazing work our engineers are already doing, and unlocks even more potential,” says CEO Ryan Chan, “We can’t wait for him to get started!”
