Welcome to UpKeep, Renee!!
Welcoming Renee Hernandez to the UpKeep family as a Technical Support Representative (TSR)!!
Joining the CS team this week, we have Renee Hernandez! Renee will be part of our Technical Support team – working on the frontlines of customer support, taking phone calls and answering chats with customers. We’re so excited to have Renee on the team – WELCOME!
We’re excited to welcome you to the UpKeep family, Renee! Tell us a little about yourself.
Hi everyone my name is Renee and I’m coming in as a Technical Support Representative here at UpKeep! I recently relocated back to Los Angeles from the Inland Empire. I’m currently pursuing a Pre-Nursing degree at Santa Monica College and will be transferring to CSULB in the Spring of 2021.
For fun my husband and I really enjoy taking our 4 year old rescue pitbull Ziggy to new food places, hiking trails and just about anywhere dog friendly!
How did you first get into Customer Success?
I have always been in a customer facing role and have loved every second of it! To me, customer service means ensuring that the client or customer has the best experience possible and I love being that for them!
Why are you excited to join UpKeep?
At first, I was excited to join UpKeep because it was a fast growing startup. But learning more about the mission and those we are helping really makes me proud of what I will be doing here.
What are your first thoughts about the culture and team so far?
We currently are working remotely due to COVID-19 but that hasn’t stopped anyone from introducing themselves or making me feel welcomed. I really feel as if the UpKeep has also done their part to go above and beyond to make sure that I am comfortable and I really appreciate that! I’m very excited to meet everyone in person soon 🙂
We have to know – tell us more about your vintage clothing business? How long have you and your mom been doing it? Where can we go to check it out?
My mom has always been interested in fashion, art, and just creating things! I have always loved shopping at thrift stores and would have my mom tag along but I never thought she liked it. She began picking out the absolute most beautiful gowns and pieces to style. Eventually she collected so many pieces that our attic was full of these amazing outfits but she never did anything with them. I finally got the idea to open up an eBay store in 2014, I would run her business side – take pictures, set the prices, negotiate and she would shop to get new pieces to sell. Currently we are selling a few items on her Depop account @beelovecloset!
And finally, most importantly, what would you be if you were a kitchen utensil?
Definitely a coffee or espresso machine.. For me I need caffeine to get me through the day and I think a lot of people would agree this is a necessity.
