Stories of the unsung heroes in maintenance who support and sustain our world.

Meet Gabriela Puiu, Assistant Manager at Switchboard

Romania

Gabriela Puiu was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. She studied in Bucharest, and began working in jobs that involved interacting with people and clients. Currently, Gabriela works at Switchboard – a facility and property management company.

Gabriela Puiu, thank you for everything you do! We’re so excited to meet people practicing facilities maintenance around the world and we admire your dedication to your customers.

How did you get started in maintenance?

I didn’t take formal classes in maintenance. This is my second job in this industry, and I’m learning a lot of interesting things on the job. I like what I do every day and that’s what motivates me daily. My role is to connect our clients / tenants with my colleagues. Their issues became our issues and we manage to bring solutions to them each day.

Most of all, I love my team. My manager and my technical colleagues complete me. I want to learn as much as I can with them.

What is one of your proudest achievements?

When I see people who are proud of my work, that shows that I have learned and achieved at the same time.

What is one thing you wish people knew about your job?

You never get bored!

Thank you, Gabriela!
