How to Find The ID in Data Import

When importing your data into UpKeep you will want to assign Locations, Assets, Parts, or Workers. The ID will be created randomly by the system when the item is created.

[tip]When selecting the desired item, the ID is the last ten characters after the forward-slash in your URL bar![/tip]


How to Find The Location ID

Here is an example of finding the location ID:

  1. Navigate to the Locations section
  2. Click on the desired Location
  3. Locate Location ID via the URL Address. This is the last ten characters after the forward-slash. Please see the example below:

[tip] The Location ID can also be found by exporting your Location and it will be in column A of the CSV! [/tip]


How to Find The Asset ID

We have two ways to find the Asset ID:

  1. Navigate to Assets
  2. Select the desired Asset
  3. Locate Asset ID via the URL Address. This is the last ten characters after the forward-slash (similar to finding Location ID)!

[tip] The Asset ID will also be found in the Assets section in the ID column. [/tip]

How to Find The User ID

  1. Navigate to People & Teams
  2. Click on the desired User/Team
  3. Locate User/Team ID via the URL Address. This is the last ten characters after the forward-slash. Please see the example below:
