The Children’s Receiving Home of Sacramento is an INCREDIBLE institution. CRH is an emergency shelter for youth, many of whom seek a safe home in the wake of trauma, abuse, and/or neglect. The facility has 10 residential dorms, a medical clinic, a commercial-grade kitchen, dining hall, administrative offices, and a gymnasium – all located on their 6.2 acre campus in Sacramento.

The CRH Maintenance and Facilities Team is nine people strong. Here’s the breakdown:

  • 2 IT Specialists,
  • 2 Maintenance Technicians,
  • A Kitchen Supervisor, who manages four Line Cooks,
  • And last but certainly not least, Travis Murphy is the Facilities Director who is responsible for maintaining the campus and managing the rest of the Maintenance Team.

Travis shared, “We are a lean team, responsible for Facilities, IT, and Food Services for our campus which is home to around 130 staff. We have been open 24/7, 365 days a year for the past 75 years, never closing for one minute!”

Thank you to the CRH Maintenance Team for everything you do!
